Dogs Day Out

Lesley O'Donnell - Wednesday, November 24, 2010

Richmond dogs enjoying their day out at the local park.

It was a wet, dull and rainy day but that didn’t stop the Richmond Swimming Club holding their annual BBQ in Citizens Park after their swim meet. They donned wet weather gear, erected a temporary shelter, held onto their positive attitudes, cooked up a feast and had a fine social time. What’s a little rain when you’re with good friends?

Sponsored by 313 Vets it was of course a dog friendly affair.

Only four pooches braved the wet conditions but it was worth their while as they got to run in the park with their new canine friends. They had so much fun that they didn’t even seem to notice the puddles. I think they knew that if they used their pleading eyes and biggest smiles the odd sausage was bound to find it’s way down to them. By the way the tongs were only used to serve dogs after all the cooking and distributing to humans was done!

What a lot of dogs to have control over all at once. They look great and well behaved and lucky to have their photos taken by you, a great job.Hard to pick a favourite just from the pics but guess there would have been one or two.
